建築物や街並み、積まれたブロック、紙の束、繊維。
私は時々、それらを結晶体として認識することがある。
人間が時間をかけて構築してきた技術や、生物としての生活が積層となって生み出されたさまざまな人工物に、それらは細やかな線のパターンが結晶構造のように透過し重なったようなイメージで私の目に映る。

さまざまな人工物は人間が長い時間をかけて築き上げてきた技術や、生き物としての生活の積み重ねの結果である。 それらは微細な線の模様が結晶構造のように浸透し、重なり合い、私の目に映る。

私はそれを陶板に写し取り、パターンを模様に置き換える。彫るという連続的な行為はイメージを析出させていく。
宝石や鉱物と素性が近い陶磁器という素材にトレースされたそのレイヤーは焼成され、新しい結晶体として変換される。
ヒトの営みから生まれる架空の鉱物を物質化させ記録していくことを試みている。

Buildings, cityscapes, piled blocks, bundles of paper, fibers.
I sometimes perceive them as crystalline bodies.

Various man-made objects are the result of the accumulation of technologies that humans have built up over time and of their lives as living creatures.
They appear to me as if a pattern of fine lines is permeating and overlapping like a crystalline structure.

I copy it onto a ceramic plate and transfer it as a pattern. The continuous act of carving crystallizes the image.

Ceramics are close in nature to gemstones and minerals. The layers traced on the ceramic plate are fired and transformed into a new crystalline body.
I am attempting to materialize and record imaginary minerals produced by human activity.
